Classes . . .

One of our more pleasurable activities is providing classes on basic quilting, fabric painting and dyeing, and other quilt related topics. We open up the studio to the class and provide all the essentials—sewing machines, ironing, cutting, and raucous music (hopefully country) or quiet solitude—your choice.

We hold retreats for business executives needing to break away and discover the wonderful therapy of quilting and working together on common projects. We’re told the beautiful scenery of the Puget Sound adds to the total experience.

We also invite organizations and others to participate in our special American Hero Quilt project where we make quilts for wounded soldiers returning from Afganistan and Iraq. One of our more notable groups is the Marine Moms of Washington where periodic gatherings have produced not only a number of beautiful quilts but many loving and memorable relationships.

Check out the American Hero Quilts project and the Washington State Marine Moms. You might find that this support for our service men and women will fit nicely with your desire to learn more about quilting and to take a break from the stress of your everyday life.
